Hearts

I find myself using hearts as a motif or shape so often. Here is one that is filled with lavender from where I grew up and given as a Christmas present.

I hope that you have all had a very Happy Christmas and Boxing Day. I escaped to the country for a couple of days, it was lovely.

Gifts

A belated thank you to Jackie of Stitchworks for this beautiful cushion which I was lucky enough to win in her recent blog giveaway.

I have made my own variation of a beaded adornment to add to presents following the Kirstie's Homemade Christmas.

Apologies for the winter light effect on the photographs. Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas. Enjoy all your celebrations.

Needle-case, Pincushion and Buttons

There are several people on my Christmas list that will be receiving a needle-case and pin cushion. I have read in several places about using dried used coffee grounds as the filling for pincushions. Apparently it keeps the pins rust free, yet to be tested. I've been saving coffee grounds for a while and below is one of the pincushions along with a needle-case.

I wanted to show you the wonderful buttons that I got from Floss at Troc, Broc and Recup' Floss has set up Troc & Broc Vintage Shop They came beautifully packaged and are going to be used on so many projects.
