Meadow, Design and Notebook 44

When I was out on the meadow in the week I saw buttercups and daises in flower. The seasons are certainly a bit out of kilter. I know that I have not done much blogging in any form in the last few months. I am likely to continue in that vain as I a taking an online course at the moment. When I was out in the cooler misty weather today I took some photographs, they are from my phone so not as clear as I would like.

I saw a huge gathering of geese, there must have 150, could not get too close.

I like the pattern that the bark and moss have created on this tree.

There are two trees near the allotments that are rather weather beaten. Some of the roots are proud in the ground.

Notebook 44 came to me as I finished off my bag of oats this morning I like the simplicity of the packaging, very traditional. I remember once as a child my Father sold some oats to Jordan's we were proud.

Then here are some very faded teasels against a galvanised barrel.

Hope you are all well. Good luck to all that have Christmas fairs coming up. Wishing you a happy week.

I saw a couple of daisies on my lawn - it's mild then cold then mild, everything's confused. I'd be flaberghasted to see so many wild geese in one place - it's ones, twos & maybe 5's up here!

What course are you doing??

Nice shots. Yes the birds are flocking up in big numbers here too. I saw probably as many crows one morning last week walking the dogs. I love the long views of pasture, such a welcome sight. Good upcycle with the oats packaging. Hope all is well. xox Corrine

I like your use of the word "proud". I have not seen it used in this context before but it is certainly apt. Nice porridge bag! Seasons out of kilter here too. my rhododendron is flowering right now!

Lovely pics, especially the colours in the first one and the moss on the trees.
I still have a large deep purple flowering Clematis on the go and the last rose bud has just opened, still with perfume!
Also, picked 2 gardeners delight tomatoes from one plant that's still in leaf and keeps flowering!

Have a great week,

Sandie xx

I love the moss and lichen on those trees, and the gnarly tree roots. Intrigued to see what happens with the oats wrapper...

My roses are flowering and the rhubarb is sprouting! Love the exposed tree roots.

that tree with the roots exposed looks like a blackthorn?

It looks as if it's just about there, hope you don't get any fierce winds where you are or it may topple over, and that would be a shame.
