Lambs and Give Away Results

Last week I went with my Father into south Northamptonshire to visit the village where his Mother and Grandmother were born. My Grandparents and Father also lived there for a part of the war so it was a real trip down memory lane for him. He told me about the families who lived in various houses. Then at the cemetery we meet someone who remembered him. Onto a village where they moved to after the war. I met up with someone I had been in hospital with so my Father was able to tell her and her husband a lot about the village they moved to a few years ago. Finally onto a village that I used to visit as a child to stay on a farm with the family of my Father's oldest friend. We met that friends younger brother as we visited his daughter's restaurant. It was a great day out and we had warm weather.
This is a photograph of one of the church windows where my Father was a choir boy.

My nephew and his girlfriend have a few animals, the pigs were turned into pork last week and these are some of the lambs. It is lovely having someone from the next generation involved in farming even in a very small way. It gets into your bones for life if you start of that way.

As I said last night I got my sister to draw the names from a bowl. All of those those who have left comments on my last two posts were included. First out was Corrine then Angie Willis followed by Emma. Can you let me have you addresses and I will get the parcels into the mail for you.

I have watched rather a lot of television recently for the Diamond Jubilee which I really enjoyed and I hope others did too. Maybe we will get some summer in the coming weeks.

I am going AWOL again, found out on Friday that I have to have another big operation this month along with a smaller procedure. As I set this blog up to record my creative adventures I am finding that my life has been taken over this year and I do not wish to turn it into a blog about me.

Will be back later on in the summer; hopefully having achieved something to share. Have this afternoon ordered two new books to inspire me. I wish you all a good next few months.

Oh gosh, so sorry about the surgery, makes for an uneasy upcoming summer, but at least you can recoup in the warm weather and enjoy the views. So happy to be a winner, thanks ever so much. Your sheep look much like the Jacob's sheep that so many folks have around here, are they shetlands? Pretty that. Take care, will be thinking of you. xox
